The IFCB HAB Kit allows you to have a kit on han to sample for harmful algal blooms, or other water quality testing.. The kit includes everything you need to collect and send a HAB / cHAB or Water sample to our lab. We think this kit is perfect for lake associations, beach monitoring programs, those with limited supplies, and those who want to have a kit on hand "just in case" a HAB concern arises. Your sample will be fresh and unpreserved, so need to ship as soon as possible after it's taken.
This sample will be run through our Imaging FlowCytobot (IFCB, McLane Research Labs) which captures images of particles as they pass through a flow-cell. Algal images are then identified using an a custom PhycoTech classifier. Data will be returned to you in excel and pdf formats.
